asheville wedding venue the crest center sits atop a mountain with the most gorgeous ceremony view overlooking the blue ridge mountains. the crest center pavilion is a beautiful open reception space with wood beams and large glass walls creating a blank canvas for a wedding. courtney + tim wanted help pulling the design together so our team at verge events was more than ready to bring it all together for them at the crest center! for their memorial weekend nuptials, we used a color palette of eggplant, taupe and charcoal to accentuate the natural beauty of the crest center and the surrounding mountains.
purple + gray weddings are a classic combination but we love how adding the taupe into the wedding color palette creates a beautiful neutral to elevate the eggplant and charcoal. we wanted a soft, romantic feel for the wedding with lace, ribbons and candlelight. the cake inspiration was truly beautiful and a work of art (just wait until you see how it turned out!). we love the unexpected twist, like a modern take on lace in the cake detail and punched candle holders which creates complexity in the design.
