Well hello again! Last week we showed you some shots from Christina and Garnett’s gorgeous Grove Park Inn wedding in Asheville. This week we’re hanging out with Christina and Garnett again, but this time we’re going to take a deeper look at the design Verge Events did for them. Who doesn’t love an immaculately designed wedding in the mountains?…not to toot our horn or anything. Ok, fine – we’ll put our money where our mouth is!
Christina and Garnett’s design was very soft, romantic and elegant. Fluffy white flowers, and touches of soft gold and champagne with a neutral color palate. This was a classy wedding with a capital C!
Here are some pictures from the inspiration board we created for them.
Ceremony::
The Mountain View Terrace was kept classic and minimal for ceremony so as not to distract from the view. The floral arrangements hinted at the fantasticness (not a word, but it should be!) we would reveal for reception.
Christina and Garnett wanted their ceremony to be unplugged, so in keeping with the design a sign written on a champagne gold mirror politely asked guests to put their phones away.
A monogram or a logo at a wedding is a really nice way to personalize details and make them your own. Plus you can use it for years to come on Christmas cards, thank you notes, koozies etc. and everyone will remember where it was first débuted – at your wedding! We worked in Christina and Garnett’s logo on the cocktail napkins, guest towels, menus and programs.
Cocktail Hour::
Cocktail hour was held on the terrace after the ceremony. The Grove Park Inn has a stunning stone fireplace which was adorned with floral and candles (candle light was a MUST in Christina and Garnett’s design concept). Signs on champagne gold mirrors made their appearance again as escort signs for the guests.
Reception::
The room – romantic to the max! Blush pink lighting on white draped walls and big fluffy flowers everywhere! Floral added some variety to the tables by mixing in high and low arrangements. We love those trumpet vases! When you light an event space that has natural light it’s important to know that the color will change as the space transitions to night. We loved how this lighting transitioned!
There’s that logo again!
Chargers really elevate the formality of a table setting. Again we used mirrors for table numbers.
Christina and Garnett kept the guest tables neutral yet elegant with a champagne satin linen, and added some glam to the head table and cake table with an incredible champagne sequin linen. Head tables and cake tables are excellent places to use a really fantastic linen, it just makes everything *pop*.
The cakes! The Grove Park Inn can truly create ANYTHING when it come to a cake. Classic wedding elegance for the bridal cake and a homage to TCU for the grooms cake.

And just to amp up the fancy, a lovely late night scotch and cigar bar – what’s not to love!
We had the best time watching this wedding come together. Couldn’t have done it without a fantastic team, and a truly awesome bride and groom!
xoxo Sarah
