michelle and john. i had an immediate connection with them and we had such a fun planning experience together! michelle and i still chat via facebook…i think we both had a little withdrawal once the wedding was over. both were so sweet, so genuine, and i cannot wait to see them again soon!

hope you enjoy their pics as much as i did. they had a very clear vision and style of what they wanted in their photographer, and asheville wedding photographer, mozingo photography, nailed it.

the rug at the ceremony had an image of a cat that looked like their beloved cat who had recently passed. love this personal touch. ceremony was framed by a vintage door and simple floral on either side. provided by the oh-so-talented, asheville wedding florist, studio flora diva. asheville makeup artist, blush by wendy ballance and asheville wedding hair artist, amanda from the secret spa created michelle’s wedding day look…beautiful.

when pantone announced their color of the year…i was so excited to see #17-1463 … tangerine tango! and then i thought, what a bold color. some brides might want to have a softer look than bright tangerine. so i started playing around on pinterest {post coming on my latest obsession} and came up with a more romantic way to use this hot color for your asheville wedding {or anywhere else for that matter}.

custom_wedding_shoes i have a *slight* obsession with shoes. so imagine my heart-a-fluttering when i saw and immediately fell in love these custom wedding shoes by figgie shoes!! what a fun way to customize your attire, and maybe add a pop of color. it is all about making your wedding personal and about you two!

The ceremony was on a knoll overlooking the river below – just breathtaking. While it was freezing and foggy leading up to the ceremony time, at just the right moment, the sun came out and the winds subsided!

absolutely adorable sums up this amazing wedding! larissa + james enlisted our team led by maria with our girl brittany assisting to help with their big day on a private property on cold mountain. and boy, the mountain sure lived up to its name! in the hours before the ceremony, james was trying to get larissa to change the ceremony location because it was so windy and cold on the knoll…but no go with larissa! she wanted the ceremony where she wanted it, and in the end turns out the bride was right! we added sidewalls to the tent where dinner was to be held at the final hour {literally, 1 hour before guests began to arrive! another reason to have a planner. just sayin’} the ceremony was on a knoll overlooking the river below – just breathtaking. while it was freezing and foggy leading up to the ceremony time, at just the right moment, the sun came out and the winds subsided!

and maybe the cutest story ever. james sent larissa a text on the morning of the wedding, and it went a little something like this…

james – want to get together later?

larissa – yeah, i have nice new dress to wear.

james – let’s meet at 5pm up on the knoll”

details we love! a smores display {that’s right, smores on a stick!} gave the guests their seating assignments and the smore’s could be used at the bonfire on the property. wishing stones for the guests! pies instead of cake! delicious.

and they ended the night with a final song of mrs. robinson…a nod to the new last name! they are just too freaking cute!
