on labor day weekend i had the pleasure of being with carrie and greg as they got married at beautiful homewood. [thanks monroe ~ you guys are just the best!] i have been working with carrie and greg since january, and have just loved every minute. they are such a great couple with the sweetest family and just so much fun, and i was truely honored to be a part of their special day. we got to work with photographers that are close to my heart, james and jenny tarpley with visio photography. we had great cake from cakes du jour and the place was hopping thanks to blake with jumping jukebox!
thanks for allowing us to be a part of your day! and when we come to charlotte, we will go have that beer!

also, these things just do not line up on the first go 🤣 and the moss wall does not just stand up on its own [thank you @floressenceflowers!] there is math involved, a person on a chair, and someone telling said person on the chair if it is even, and so many push pins! and if it is raining, which it was, you have to make sure the paper doesn`t get all damp and not lay right!
we keep saying it, and we will say it again - details matter.

A moment for the cake and the florals 🌸🍰🌸 One thing we always hear - how can we reuse the flowers from the ceremony? if you have ground floral behind the chairs at ceremony, those can be moved during cocktail hour and placed before your guests enter the reception! bonus points if no one sees you do it ;) also... an arbor just c.a.n.n.o.t be moved in its entirety, so if repurposing is important to you, this is something to think about!
