North Carolina Wedding Design | Lindsay & Nathan
We’ve said it a lot lately, but it bears repeating. We love North Carolina wedding design. We love our couples, and we love planning their weddings. But we are so inspired by design. We enjoyed showcasing Lindsay & Nathan’s gorgeous North Carolina wedding last time on the blog. If you haven’t yet seen that post, pause and check it out 🙂 Their wedding day was so stunning, and we feel like their design suited them wonderfully. We absolutely love the result.
Lindsay & Nathan wanted a glam, stunner of a wedding. They envisioned crystals and glitz and chandeliers and beautiful lush big flowers. These themes carry throughout the day, even in the smallest of details.
Grove Park Inn is a wonderful space to design for. We love utilizing the different spaces available to us. In the case of Lindsay and Nathan’s wedding, we added luxurious fabrics, classic floral in glitzy arrangements, and lots of fantastic lighting.
So many unique details. Lindsay and Nathan wanted a show stopper at their ceremony. Something that would add a jaw drop to the already fabulous view. So we built a huge arbor with a working hanging chandelier. It was a perfect juxtaposition to the mountain setting. We ordered a custom runner with their monogram printed on it. After the wedding, we kept the monogramed part for them so they could frame it in their house later. It was a very dramatic and super sophisticated touch at the ceremony.
We love the way all of the metallic details pulled together. It was a big and bold look for a big and bold party.
This North Carolina wedding design is full of custom touches. We worked with our friends at Crush to build a custom boxwood bar front which we put their monogram on, and a custom stage wrap.
The couple had macaroons from Dana’s bakery flown in for their favors which were placed at each place setting. Such a lovely personal touch!
The couple liked the pavilion at Grove Park Inn, and they particularly loved the view that it gave them, but it didn’t quite capture the elegance and glam that they wanted. So in order to dial of the drama, we worked with Classic to create a custom drape job that had the draping spill over into the room to bring some of that soft white to the walls.
Another detail that I love that just really upped the glam was the couples monogram projected on the dance floor. It was perfect for this North Carolina wedding design! Finally, because the room is so big, and the ceilings are so tall, we decided to go high with the centerpieces – when you’re designing it’s important to take scale into account. If you have a really big space – or are competing with nature you need a big element to really pack a design punch. We think that this North Carolina wedding design does a fabulous job of enhancing all of the great elements of this venue… with a healthy sprinkling of glam all over!
Thanks so much to the amazing professionals who made this beautiful event so beautiful! We could not have done it without you!!
