what a great moment jeremy captured. it shares such a private moment in an intimate, non-intrusive way. one thing that a planner looks for in a photographer is that they are everywhere, but nowhere at the same time. they capture all the moments through the day, without being in your face. jeremy is one great photographer that does this perfectly on a wedding day.
i share this picture as “life as a planner” because it evokes some reasons as to why we love what we do. as a planner, we get to share some really intimate, special moments with the bride and groom. we are the last one to see the bride walk down the aisle, the first one to see the newly married couple walk back down the aisle and get to congratulate them, and the last to see them and wish them well before they depart for the night. some of my favorite memories from weddings come from these small moments. i have looked at a bride as she walked down the aisle, and cried. i have shared the best hugs from the couple as they come back down the aisle. and my favorite comment from a groom before he and his new bride left for the evening, as we were waiting in the back hallway of lioncrest at biltmore, was “you were born to do this”. you got it, i cried. it was just what i needed to hear as we were closing up on a busy month of october.
thanks for letting us share in these special moments.
