We are so excited to share this Asheville wedding design with you! Last time, we shared Elizabeth & Van’s wedding story (if you haven’t yet seen it, you should pause and go check it out…it was a fantastic day!!), and today, we want to share a little more about their design. Wedding planners wear many hats…and our favorite hat is the designer one 😉 Seriously. We really love the process of transforming a vision into a concept, and then executing that concept.
Elizabeth and Van wanted the epitome of a classic, timeless, country club wedding. They chose Biltmore Forest Country Club which was founded in 1922. It has beautiful historic ties to the community, and gorgeous details like wood paneling & classic decor. Because they loved the space so much we drew inspiration from the country club decor. Particularly the chinoiserie that was displayed in the rooms. That pattern became one of the central motifs throughout the wedding. We utilized it in everything from paper to centerpieces to the cake… we even used it on their bar!
There are so many epic design elements from this wedding; however, we are going to start off by talking chairs. Yes, chairs. We realize that this is a weird detail to mention, but we really love it when couples decide to go for a really elegant upgraded chair. Your ceremony and reception seating takes up the majority of the visual real estate at your wedding. In our opinion, it’s a great place to spend a little extra money 🙂
Another fun upgrade: they chose to go with a custom aisle runner which is such a fun and rare detail. We work with a fantastic company in New Jersey who always brings such beautiful custom designs to the table.
Paper was Elizabeth’s number one favorite and most important design element. Small touches. Big impact.
Fun detail! The escort card wall! We love a really big escort card display, and this one was awesome. The country club is located on a golf course with lots of surrounding greenery so we brought in boxwood to make everything feel green and lush. We love the way this turned out.
The tent was a show stopper. Clear top tent with twinkle lights and lots of hanging greenery. The design also had a hefty dose of modern elegance mixed in – things like the chandeliers in the tent and the coffee tables in the lounge leaned away from classic and traditional and more towards clean modern design
another favorite detail was the custom bar – it was just so elegant
and no. the bars do NOT need to match 😉
We love classic floral. This timeless white and green is just perfection.
Gorgeous, right? Now picture it with standard chairs. Changes everything 😉
Executing an Asheville wedding design and unveiling it to our couples and their families on wedding day is one of the most satisfying parts of our job! It makes us happy to make them happy 😉
As always, thanks to the amazing vendors who made this day happen!
a snapshot of the days leading up to a backyard wedding. not shown? the months and hours the family spent getting their property ready to host a luxury wedding at their home in the mountains. it does not all "just come together" - it takes so much time, and so many people to bring the vision to life! 3 days before there was nothing short of 50 people onsite laying the groundwork for the tent, the catering kitchen, the bars, the ceremony..... it takes a village y`all! . . . . . . . . . . . #vergeevents #highlandncweddings #mountainweddings #ncwedding #ashevilleevents #weddingdesigns #weddinginspo #modernwedding #backyardweddings #luxury weddings #weddingdecor #ittakesavillage #weddingvendors
