jess and fabio’s wedding was fabulous in every way possible! they loved traveling, especially since fabio is straight from sicily and jess is a southern louisiana girl (all things french + cajun!). the ceremony took place at the gorgeous st. lawrence basilica in downtown asheville followed by the reception at the ever fabulous grand bohemian.

verge worked with them on the planning and design of their bling wedding. initially we started with branches as centerpieces and a darker feel with mahogany chivaris and a dose of vintage but once jess saw a crystal candleabra the glam was on! we switched it up and went for clean white lines and crystals. our color palette played with lilac, darker purple and gray and obviously bling! since jess LOVES flowers, we did a mock up – linen swatches, floral and tablescape design and to say the least we had a great time showing jess a sneak peak to her blinged out wedding.

and let’s not forget the suspended cake! seriously unbelievable, although a little stressful for the wedding planners!

what is better than a chandelier in a barn? nothing! except maybe a chandelier in a draped barn. we showed you marianne and ryan’s wedding design earlier this week and now here is how it all came together at their gorgeous wedding.

the private barn was the perfect shade of rustic red to drape in flowing fabric, accented by floral garlands, rustic worn wood benches and centerstage hung a magnificent, sparkling chandelier.

drinks were served in mason jars, mirrors and pictures graced the warm wood barn walls and the bridesmaids were adorned in perfectly mismatched neutral dresses.

clearly we LOVE our clients!

the juxtaposition continued to the wildcat cliffs country club with lush florals accented with crystals, pearls and bling and set against burlap, kraft paper and chalkboard rustic accents.

we created a “smoke and joe bar” for the guests to partake in hand-rolled cigars and coffee (spiked optional) with flavored syrups.

the cake was inspired by marianne’s fabulous dress and can we just say wow?!

the infusion of rustic into this chic wedding brought our design to life, giving contrast and interest that kept you guessing at every turn. marianne and ryan’s wedding was the perfect blend of rustic and chic, one of our favorite looks.

when marianne and ryan told us about their idea to go rustic chic with all neutrals we were so excited to design this wedding.
but really though, we literally jumped for joy.

we used a neutral color palette ranging from linen to black to design their wedding around the concept of contrast between rustic and chic.

during our design process we created inspiration boards to help us get the feeling we wanted to create for marianne and ryan. (as a side note, we love our inspiration boards for just that, inspiration, not execution. we do have to make every wedding unique and personalized for each couple!)

we utilized clean, crisp white and ivory florals set against the backdrop of rustic textures and colors.

burlap, kraft paper, mason jars (drinks only please!) chalkboards, jute string and clothespins helped to bring the rustic essence to contrast the elegant bling. marianne and ryan’s wedding was the epitome of perfectly designed rustic chic.

caitlin and andrew’s biltmore wedding was too much gorgeousness to contain in just one post, so here is part two!

the reception took place inside deerpark and under a gorgeously tented courtyard. the color palette of navy, blush and white created a soft, romantic feel with touches of rustic elegance. from the place cards nestled in baby’s breath on a vintage buffet to a wooden directional sign denoting significant locations to caitlin and andrew to homemade peach butter by the bride and her mother, the details of this wedding made it truly unique and undeniably beautiful.

the father of the bride is all about surprises and we planned several unique surprises for the the bride and groom and their guests, so during the reception, we invited all the guests to the front steps of deerpark for the big surprise :: a plane pulling a banner that read “cailtin andrew love + happiness for you!” to say the least, everyone, including the bride and groom, were in awe!

This wedding had it all, gorgeous design, surprises at every turn and of course, a fantastic couple!

we truly love our southern weddings, and honestly what’s more southern than monograms? and that’s why we love this elegant rustic navy and blush biltmore wedding. after getting engaged in asheville it was an easy choice for caitlin and andrew to get married in the asheville area and the biltmore estate was the perfect place. our girl brittany helped to bring this fabulous wedding to life this past may. it may have been rainy but that didn’t dampen our spirits. caitlin and andrew met atop diana, with a dramatic overlook of the biltmore estate, for their touching first look.

the ceremony took place on the vista with one of the most stunning views of the blue ridge mountains, accented by mounds of baby’s breath (oh how we love writing that!).

just look at those monograms! and paired with baby’s breath! swoon!
