there are thousands of things i love about being a wedding planner.  one is that i am the first to congratulate the bride and groom after they are married.  i love seeing their emotion, their tears, their hugs.  thank you to asheville wedding photographer, realities photography, for capturing this moment.  this wedding was last month at The Grand Bohemian, and consisted of an amazing asheville wedding vendor team of the crazy talented group at StudioWed.

happy thanksgiving!  we hope that you and your family have a fantastic day!  one would think i would be posting about wedding inspirations and boards on fall colors.  but this is a post that has been drafted for awhile, and there is no better time than thanksgiving to post it.

to our clients…we are thankful for each and every one of you. thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day.  it is a true honor.

to our team…jennifer, maria, + brittany…thank you for all that you do, and putting up with my crazy white board of projects, late night and early morning phone calls.  i am the luckiest girl in the world to have such a fantastic team in the office every week.  i love you ladies so much!

for ian…so yes, it is a self portrait. but i love it, and i keep it on my desktop in my pictures.  ian surprised me with a getaway trip to charleston, sc for my birthday with our dear friends matt and wendy.  {yes, the fab asheville makeup artist, blush by wendy ballance}   in the midst of crazy event season, ian and matt managed to pull off a much needed getaway.  so, this is a thank you…for:

for understanding my late nights in the studio, even though i get freaked out by being there when it is dark outside.

for knowing that when i say, “i’ll cook dinner” what i mean is…i am picking up chick-fil-a.  spicy chicken sandwich with cheese?

for listening to me when i do get home.  and all my crazy ideas.

for taking these ideas and bringing them to life.

for believing in me, even when i do not believe in myself.

for whisking me away for a few days, when you know i need it most.  and not complaining when my iPad was never far away to check emails.

for being incredibly talented and documenting our life.  and never complaining when i ask you to edit out the gray hair or my arms.

for the countless, countless things you do for me on a day to day basis, without even knowing it.  you make my life sweeter.

for being my number one fan, and supporting me living my dream.

i love you iriley.  always.

xoxo, nicole
