okay, so let me admit it.  my christmas tree is not down.  i just can’t do it yet!  i love decorating our house for the holidays.  so my hubs ian decided to do a time lapse video of us decorating, and i just had to share it!!  i think i love it because as a planner, i love seeing the transformation of a space.  to see a project through from beginning to end.  and we are now doing these for weddings ~ so if you are booked, and want one, just let us know and we will give you the details!  we have some we have done for weddings already we will post soon!!

enjoy! and happy new year!  and i promise to take down the decorations.  by february.  ~ xo, nicole

as i was going through wedding pics the other night, i came across this wedding we did not so long ago.  laura and brandon were absolutely adorable, and i just had to share some of their pics from their big day!  they were married 2 days after christmas, and i loved that all the family came to asheville to spend the week ~ christmas through new years!  their whole family, and all the guests, were amazing and just some of the nicest people.  i was honored to be a part of their day!  ~ nicole

one of the sweetest dads.  ever.  he thanked me in his toast and gave me a hug.  gives me goose bumps!

one of all time favorite shots.  this is mother of the bride and the bride’s sisters during the father-daughter dance.  i love it for several reasons ~ the emotion, the love, but most of all that it was captured.  that this is a moment the bride would have never been able to see without a photographer that was seeing the big picture, while capturing the little moments.

wow, what a super fun couple!  i worked with angie and nick for some time planning their wedding at one of our favorite venues, homewood .  we connected pretty quickly, as we are both from around columbia, south carolina, and had such a great wedding…but not carolina style, texas style!  they had so many texas touches –  from cowboy hats to the grand march departure.  i had no clue what that was – but they all sure did!  it is a dance, that everyone knew how to do – it was fun to watch 😉  and lets not forget the texas two-step [thanks for teaching me how to two step nick!]   thanks to the fab blossoms at biltmore park for all the flowers and decor!  check out some of the pics below from corey mcnabb.

love this pic of me pinning nick’s boutonniere!

so, everyone here knows i am huge gamecock fan.  i was raised in south carolina, and there you are either a carolina or a clemson fan.  what can i say, it’s just in my blood!  so let me just say on a personal note for today….GO COCKS!!  for the first time in our history, we will be in the SEC championship game tomorrow against auburn.  you can all guess what i will be doing tomorrow about 4:00.  yep, i will be there!!  ian surprised me with tickets on wednesday!

one of my hubby’s good friends from school is now a coach with the gamecocks – and we got field access after a game!  i admit, i was in heaven.  thanks to ian for these pictures!!
