We love doing wedding design in Asheville! In addition to making sure your wedding day runs smoothly and that your celebration of love is as stress free as possible, we can also work with you to develop and execute your aesthetic vision. We love starting with a concept, a feeling, a color… and working with those fragments until they become a fully realized visual experience. Last time, we shared Perri & Matt’s wedding story Perri & Matt’s wedding story with you; today, we are excited to share a bit of their design!
Gorgeous design starts with the paper.

Perri wanted her chuppah to feel lush and full, and with a natural setting as beautiful as The Ridge, floral can get lost. Not this time 😉 Flora did an amazing job creating floral that complemented the landscape without becoming overwhelmed by it! We always love working with them for wedding design in Asheville!

We love creating custom signage for our clients. These wooden boards are some of our favorites!

We love seeing how all of the tiny details come together to complement the overall design.

Phenomenal floral.

Transitioning from the mountaintop ceremony to the downtown reception was simple. We took the crisp color palette of day, and we deepened it for night.  Dark burgundy and wood tones with rich candle light were the perfect complement to the brick and white interior of The Venue.

Love these wooden table numbers so much!

Matt was involved in planning the details for the wedding, and he was super easy going. He only had one major request. A donut wall. When you have a groom who only makes ONE request you better make sure you deliver, and you deliver hard! We custom made the donut wall to match their fall color palate. We added delicious donuts from Sugarcloud. We had to-go bags made for the guests so they could nab donuts for later.

It was perfection.

Huge thanks to the team that made the magic happen!

We are so excited to share with you this beautiful wedding at The Ridge! Perri and Matt wanted the best of all of Asheville – which meant a stunning mountain view and a downtown experience for their guests. Lucky for them The Venue has both of those options. About 2 years ago, The Venue — one of the most popular downtown wedding locations — opened a new location called The Ridge. The Ridge is a wedding venue about 20 minutes from Asheville, and it boasts absolutely spectacular mountain views. So Perri and Matt decided to have a wedding ceremony at The Ridge in the mountains with a wedding reception downtown at The Venue. They certainly wow’d their guests with both locations.
Just look at this view! A wedding at The Ridge comes with a view that is to die for in every season. It was a perfect fall day, and The Ridge was the perfect background for this celebration of love!
One of the nice things about a wedding at The Ridge is the getting ready house. Perri and Matt were able to spend the day with their wedding party getting ready in a lovely space, and it was so relaxed and fun. The house made for a really great backdrop for wedding party getting ready photos, and first looks. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding, don’t forget to think about the first half of your day. A location like The Ridge that provides a space that is roomy and comfy and bright will really add to your enjoyment of your day!
Your day is a celebration of love and family, and it doesn’t start with the ceremony. It starts with eyeliner and champagne. It starts with your people and your dress.
Seriously. This porch was to die for. It was made for photographing moments like these.
If you aren’t planning on writing notes on your wedding day…reconsider. It’s such a lovely thing.Details matter.
Beautiful first look on that magical porch 😉
A wedding at The Ridge doesn’t only provide you with a gorgeous place to get ready… it also gives your photographer a plethora of opportunities to create gorgeous images of the two of you!
It was as if this porch was made for these moments.

The music plays. Their is a pause. The music changes. And it begins.
She only has eyes for him.
Perfection.
And then we headed to The Venue for the party!
Love the pure joy in these moments.
There’s nothing sweeter than a Grandma hug.
And a kiss to end the night.
Congratulations Perri and Matt! It was a lovely day, and we are thankful for the opportunity to celebrate with you!

We are so excited to share with you Gabi & Ryan’s gorgeous wedding at The Barn of Chapel Hill! Gabi found us when she had originally booked a different venue in Highlands for her wedding. Ryan was just starting his first season with the Dallas Cowboys, and because football is so unpredictable, Gabi really wanted to make sure she was being cost conscious about the wedding. For this reason, they decided to move the wedding to The Barn in Chapel Hill. Chapel Hill is where Gabi and Ryan met when they were in college at UNC – Ryan played football for Chapel Hill, and Gabi was a cheerleader – such an American college love story!
The venue was just stunning! This was our first wedding at The Barn of Chapel Hill, and we loved the simple lines of the elegant barn. The clean white spaces are very classic, and Gabi’s choice of green and white floral was the perfect compliment.
The bridesmaids dresses provided the perfect pop of color.
Wild Flora Farm rocked the floral for this wedding. Particularly this arbor. Stunning.
These two were so lovely together. We love the quiet emotion in this image.
As Gabi was making wedding plans, she wanted to be sure that Ryan and his friends were not made a spectacle of because they are pro football players. They couldn’t have picked a better planner – we know NOTHING about professional football, so for us, it was a day of hanging out with a bunch of really polite tall gentleman. There was a funny moment before the wedding party was being announced in, and we said  “the DJ is going to say your name, everyone is going to clap for you, and then you come out and go down the stairs to your place” . A groomsman asked “wait can you say that again – what do we do when they say our name?”
We told him –  it’s pretty much what you do every Monday night just no football 😉
The day ended like it began. Classic. Lovely. It was a wonderful wedding at The Barn of Chapel Hill!
Congratulations to Gabi & Ryan! It was such a lovely day, and we are so excited for you both. As always, thanks to the amazing team of folks who made this day so fantastic! We couldn’t have done it without you!

We are so excited to share with you Alissa & Joseph’s wedding at Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC.  Alissa & Joseph have an adorable love story – Joseph has known Alissa’s family for years and years… because he is Alissa’s older brothers best friend. So Alissa and Joseph grew up together!  Sounds like the beginning to a fantastic rom com 😉  We hope you enjoy these images from their wedding day!
Dad’s and daughters… they get us every time!
Details are everything, and Alissa & Joseph both rocked their classic details.  Alissa’s veil was stunning, but on a side note, that veil almost took Alissa away with the wind! She handled it so gracefully. Note for future brides: if you an outdoor wedding, you are at the mercy of the elements. Be prepared for Mother Nature to have some fun with your beautiful cathedral length veil 😉 Just another reason to make sure that veil is really pinned in place!

This wedding at Grove Park Inn happened on one of those days when the sky was clear all day; there was zero chance of rain; the temperature was perfect, and the sunset was spot on. It was the kind of  sunset that really lets you know how the Sunset Terrace got it’s name- there is no better spot to watch the sun go down in Asheville.
Seriously. That’s an epic sunset.
It was a gorgeous wedding at Grove Park Inn, and we were so excited to celebrate as Alissa and Joseph started the next chapter of their happily ever after.
The night wrapped with The Royal Suits bringing the party home, and they really knocked it out of the park. We took a break in the evening for Alissa’s sorority to sing a wedding song to Joseph. It was an evening full of joy…and it was one heck of a party.
As always, we this event couldn’t have happened without an army of folks running things in the background. It was once more fantastic wedding at Grove Park Inn, and we our team rocked!

2020 was a wild year. Most of the wedding planning in Asheville last year revolved around Covid restrictions, restructuring, and rescheduling. It has been a lesson in flexibility, and it makes us long for the days when the biggest worry related to wedding planning in Asheville was the weather 😉 So let’s travel back to 2019, and enjoy Kara and Dayne’s gorgeous (Covid-free!!) wedding 😉

Kara and Dayne are locals, which is a rare treat for us. The majority of our couples are planning destination weddings in Asheville, so it was super fun to work with someone local who was getting married on family property. The wedding was at the parents private estate. They own a retreat center set on acres and acres of gorgeous land surrounded by the parkway. There are multiple houses on the property, and everyone was able to stay onsite and really enjoy the weekend together. Oh. And there’s a waterfall. On the property. And it’s gorgeous.

The guys got ready in one of the houses…

While the girls spread out in another. It was a fantastic setup.

Love these little details.

Deep breaths. It’s almost time.

Bridesmaids play many roles. Sometimes they serve as human screens…hiding you from your groom before your ceremony 😉

fave thing #1- Everyone was barefoot for the ceremony. Enough said.

And it begins.

(look at those toes!!)

this is real. and it’s so very beautiful.

good-lookin’ group 😉

Kara and Dayne built this arbor themselves.  They added to it for their unity ceremony during the ceremony, and they will have this at their house for years to come. We love this idea, and we think that Kara and Dayne executed it beautifully.

Congratulations Kara and Dayne!!

fun fact: We also did the brother’s wedding!  It was so good seeing them again!

Such a good looking group.

Fun selfie with the bride and groom! One of our favorite traditions 🙂

When you are getting married on a property this gorgeous, you plan for a little extra time to explore and take portraits! We made sure to leave a bit of extra time in their schedule for this, and we are so glad that we did. Just look at these gorgeous humans…and this amazing location!

(told you there was a waterfall. insane!)

this is magical.

Portrait time over…and it’s time for Kara and Dayne to rejoin their party!

This first dance was epic. Kara and Dayne were gorgeous, and the dance floor looked fantastic.

Fave thing #2= this dog! Everything about this moment was absolutely precious.  Like we said… epic first dance.

We love families who love each other. The emotion on the dance floor was palpable.

Dinner is served. Love this seating chart! We love a dramatic cake cutting!

not too shabby 😉

Let the dance party ensue!

Awwwwwwwwwwww

fave thing #3 – Kara’s dream was to dance under the stars! The rain threatened us all day, but at the ends of the night, the sky cleared and the stars came out. The Royal Suits put on a fantastic show, and the outdoor dance floor rocked all night!

Love these girls so much! It was lovely planning an Asheville wedding for them!

Magical end to a magical day.

And just for fun, we wanted to share a few of our favorite design details. Kara and Dayne did a lot of the details themselves…and they nailed.

They planted these succulents for each guests as a favor.

We love love love these lights.

We have some rental items available for our weddings. Kara and Dayne rented these chalkboards from us and did all the lettering themselves!

Bold and unique floral. We love all of the textures and the rich color.

They had set up an area on the property that was a photo booth station. There were pictures of them throughout their relationship. And maybe a little bit of moonshine 😉

It was such a fantastic day. We couldn’t have done it without the amazing team of professionals that helped make wedding magic happen. As always, thanks to our team. You guys rock!
