Kellie and Randy are genuine, compasionate, sweet individuals who truly love each other and their new family. Seeing the way they look at each other, you just know they were meant to be. After a Cinco de Mayo rehearsal dinner at The Ugly Dog Pub, they hosted their ceremony and a lunch reception at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn for their guests who traveled from all over.
![]() This wedding was not just the joining of Kellie and Randy in marriage but the uniting of a family. Kellie and her 2 year old son Luke walked to meet Randy who was waiting halfway down the aisle before walking the rest of the way to the altar as a family. Just after the ceremony began it started to rain but luckily the ceremony took place under a gorgeous draped tent. You never know when a shower will pop up in the mountains!

Our palette was based on dark teal – as it holds special meaning to Kellie. She is a gynecologic oncologist, and teal is the ovarian cancer awareness color. We paired it with red to create an amazing palette! From mason jars hanging as a backdrop at the ceremony and again as you entered the reception, the cute straws, and pillows along the benches on the terrace made by me! We suggested a guest book of wine bottles that the guests would sign, and Randy and Kellie would drink on each anniversary – super cute! Of course with tags in the color scheme indicative of the year that it would be opened! Kellie LOVES ice cream – so The Old Edwards Inn supplied a full ice cream bar in addition to the cake where guests could build their own sundaes.

Michael and Julie met years ago, went on with their lives, and then…by chance, found each other again years later. Some call it fate, some might call it meant to be, I call it all of the above and one sweet love story. They were surrounded by family, their children, and their friends as they married on the Terrace of the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Asheville. We played off the beautiful fabric draped terrace, and created a color scheme of deep taupe and merlot. Even the invitation from The Baggie Goose and all the paper accessories were engraved with a Merlot color, a fab line from Vera Wang. A beautiful wedding and what sweet moments that were years in the making! Many thanks to the wedding team! A few weekends ago I got to work with Brittany, one of Verge’s wedding planners, on a wedding at Lake Lure, North Carolina. If I could describe Brittany in one word it would be sweetheart. Brittany has a certain style to the way that she works. She gets the job done in an efficient and successful manner, but she has a smile on her face the entire time while doing it. One of my favorite moments while working with Brittany was a guest at the wedding came up to her and first congratulated her on the wedding, and then told her that she has a sense of confidence to her. That when you look at her while she is working you immediately know that everything is going to be okay and all will be taken care of. However, not only is Brittany a sweetheart she can silence a room in about two seconds. When I attended the rehearsal with Brittany some of the groomsmen were a little rowdy. Brittany knew how to make a bunch of men be quiet, listen to her, and follow directions while she was still being her sweet self. Some tips that I learnt from Brittany: 1) Hide sparklers! Make sure you hide the sparklers until the time that they need to be used. Otherwise, if a guest finds them before hand they will mostly likely get lit. 2) When it comes to the garter toss makes sure the bride switches back to her heels! This way she will have pretty shoes on for the pictures! 3) Glitter! Glitter gets everywhere! Beware! ~ Abby from my first conversation with rebecca, i knew we were going to get along just fine ~ we both are gamecock fans! they were both so great…and i have to say, rebecca was one of the most organized brides! fantastic! you never know how warm or chilly it is going to be when you pick april to get married {i can say from experience…i got married in april!}…but the day could not have been more perfect for harris + rebecca. sweet, sweet couple, with the nicest families, and a beautiful april day up in highlands. when we received these images from matt and kate over at altmix photography, one thing really struck me…you can feel the love and all the emotion in the day. there were happy tears at the ceremony {and how could there not be? rebecca composed one of the songs for during the ceremony herself!} i love the moments after the wedding just between harris and rebecca, and then they let loose at the reception and had a blast! hope you enjoy the snapshot of their day below! xoxo, nicole the wedding team :: {venue} old edwards inn and spa ; {photography} altmix photography ; {floral} oakleaf ; {ceremony musicians} the gladden quartet ; {reception music} another level band ; {baker} sid jackson ; {hair} manetamers ; {makeup artist} blush by wendy ballance ; {videographer} artifice films these wreaths were handmade by rebecca’s mom! love her. love, love, love this image of harris. priceless.
