it was not that long ago that rebecca and nadav got married at her parents private residence, with the reception at the waynesville inn.  what a gorgeous day!  below are some of our favorite images by laurie johnson

wedding gownrebecca’s parents put “the bride’s room” on the door to her childhood bedroom.  sweetness!

first kiss!

wedding cake

the cake was designed by the groom, representing the couple’s journey and where they had been.  bottom layer: groom’s home of jerusalem; then waynesville, the bride’s home; university of north carolina, where they went to school; travels; subjects of what they studied in college, and the two of them as the topper!

table setting

lovely custom linens and all design and decor provided by blossoms at biltmore park

we had custom pillows made for the rocking chairs to coordinate with the colors of the day.

wedding reception purple and green

they had the best seat in the house! always try and sit so you can see everyone, and everyone can see you as well.

wedding departure

grand departure with rose petals and sparklers!

congrats rebecca and nadav!  we wish you the best always ~ nicole

so often couples ask us if they should do a program.  my answer is a mixed one, i love the formality of it, and i absolutely love all nice paper.  however, being the one that picks up the programs that no one reads, it can be more cost effective to not have them made.

i saw this today on the brides cafe, {photographed by whatshannisaw} ~ love. it.  such a great alternative option!  think outside of the box and do something different.  something that reflects you.

there is no greater thank you than to receive a sweet note from a family after the wedding.  nothing is better than to work with a family, see it all come together, and see/feel how happy they are at the end of the night.  check out these sweet notes from a mother of the bride after her daughters wedding that was on Saturday July 10:

“Nicole there are no words to properly thank you for this weekend. It was perfect in every way and exactly what Rachel and Steve had envisioned when we visited Asheville on that snowy weekend in January. You took care of every single detail, even the orange slices 🙂 Mark and I had the best time and didn’t worry about one thing since we knew you had it all under control. My only regret is that Rachel and I wanted to get a pic with you but forgot to tell Jill. So many of our friends said it was the best food, best band, most beautifully decorated, best cake, prettiest wedding, funnest party…. You were an absolute blast to work with.”

“A 15-year-old who was at the wedding loves to watch David Tutera on TV. Since he wasn’t our wedding planner she wasn’t expecting much. After the wedding she said that you did a much better job and our wedding was better than any David Tutera wedding! Thought you’d enjoy that! And I agree with her.”

here is a sneak peak from Realities Photography from rachel + steven’s wedding day!  another post on their wedding soon!

thanks to the entire campbell and botto families for being such a pleasure!
