We had the privilege of being the Asheville wedding planners for Rachel & Alex’s gorgeous Grove Park wedding, and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. Rachel and Alex are beautiful people, and we couldn’t help but fall in love with how genuine and joyful they were with one another.
We love Rachel’s classic look so much!
These final moments as they prepare to head to the ceremony are some of our favorite moments. All of the pieces are about to come together as the ceremony begins. These moments can sometimes be frantic, but there is always a stillness and an anticipation that never fails to give us the good feels 😉
every detail matters!
We chose a clear top tent for this wedding. As Asheville wedding planners, we have learned that clear top tents are absolutely fantastic in the fall (side note: clear top tents are ONLY fantastic in the spring and fall… the rest of the year, you should go with another option 🙂 ), and we love the way that this one looked.
Rachel wanted to have a fall wedding without the traditional color palette that screams at you with it’s heavy tones. The soft color palette that she ended up with was so sophisticated and unexpected. The end result was stunning!
Details are set…everyone looks fabulous…it’s time to begin!
We wanted something different for the aisle runner… a soft gray dance floor worked perfectly!
these two were absolutely precious.
so much emotion…
Love a groom who cries… gets us EVERY time!
For Alex, the most important thing about this day was the ceremony. It was so important to him that the sacredness of the ceremony was respected. Sometimes, in the midst of all the wedding planning…we can forget about the most important part…the marriage itself. Alex never lost sight of that, and that was so lovely to see.
Mr. & Mrs. !!!!!
A few portraits before the reception…
We continued the soft & sophisticated color palette of the ceremony into the reception. The result was warm and cozy. Perfect for a fall wedding in the mountains!
They had a beautiful card box made by Alex’s father. We love personal touches like this!
Fun favor idea: fun lollipops in custom bags! Tie them to your escort cards and display!
Aren’t they the cutest? The contentment and excitement on their faces is so wonderful!
Dances and toasts and cakes, oh my! 😉
At the end of Rachel’s father’s speech, he directed everyone to turn towards the windows, and we had a huge firework display go off! It was a surprise for the couple, and they had no idea! (Sometimes Asheville wedding planners have to be a little sneaky 😉 )
dancing is hard work…
….so when the late night snack of sliders and onions rings came out of the kitchen, they were a HUGE hit:)
We had a caricature artist at the event. It was such a fun experience for the guests, and what a fun way to memorialize a moment!
Congratulations Rachel & Alex!! We loved spending the day with you!
As always…thanks to the amazing team of vendors who helped us make this wedding happen!
